BECOME A COACH
What Does A Coach Do?
Charged with creating and hosting Stage experiences, Coaches engage, teach, mentor, and share their own journeys with the participating Stagiaires.
Being a Coach is voluntary and isn’t limited to simply hosting Stagiaires. Coaches should anticipate being in contact with their Stagaires upon return to their home countries, continuing to share ideas, and to help Stagiaires integrate what they learned into their own restaurants or bars.
Coaches will also support the selection of Stagiaires.

What Experience Should I Offer?
The Stagiaire Foundation wants to connect the global culinary world with Southern food and drink through authentic, meaningful and educational experiences.
When designing Stage Experiences, Coaches should put themselves in the shoes of the Stagiaire, asking “what would I want to learn?” Get creative. Be adventurous and entertaining. Create situations that will allow for the deeper understanding of the history, techniques, ingredients, and ideation behind the dishes and drinks that define the region. Introduce farmers, partners, industry icons.
The end game is that Stagiaires return to their home countries with their minds blown – inspired, enlightened, and excited to incorporate what they learned and experienced into their own craft.
